A key figure in the art market, Benson felt that a new and dynamic approach was needed in the arts and sought to create a gallery where art, glass, ceramics and sculpture could all be displayed in a reviving commercial environment.
Located within the new Brindleyplace redevelopment just of Birmingham's Broad Street, number nine is one of the many new businesses in the area. Surrounded by the city's best bars and restaurants and near the redeveloped canals, number nine must be visited by those interested in the fine and modern arts.
